THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN!
Nikon, with their long history of producing SLRs, have released a number of “teaser” videos presaging the imminent announcement of a full frame mirrorless camera from them.
It is all very exciting and will be very interesting to see what Nikon, with all their expertise in digital camera and lens manufacturing can bring to the mirrorless system.

Another teaser but this time we get a glimpse of the new Mirrorless in photographer's hands. It's all getting so close now until all is revealed!
UPDATE - 16/08/18 - The Lens
With a strap line of "Inspired by Our Legacy - Built for the Future" Nikon have release their forth teaser to their announcement which is less than a week away.
Travel of Light
Looks like Nikon are moving into mirrorless cameras (ignoring for the moment Nikon 1).
The Body
That move makes perfect sense for Nikon and is perhaps essential for them, due to the rise in popularity of mirrorless cameras in general and Sony full frame mirrorless cameras in particular.
The Mount
It is clear from this video it will have a new lens mount and that the size of that mount is larger than the current Nikon F mount.
